The final week focuses on the concept of civic action, allowing the students to explore their definitions of both activism and volunteerism. This lesson dives into the various different kinds of activists within communities and students will reflect upon why they’re important to keep our society running smoothly. The interactive activity of the week includes a letter writing/artwork project to local activists to express their gratitude for the impactful work they do. The CIVICS Board will send out these letters to the relevant organizations/people!
